AWOL on the Appalachian Trail
by David Miller
Very well written and descriptive story of a computer programmer who tired of his cubicle and decided to take an adventure.
Miller, with the blessings of his wife and children, decided to quit his job as a programmer and do something he has dreamed of for some time, thru-hike the Applachian Trail.
This story takes you through the 2,172 miles of the AT from its beginning in Georgia to the endpoint at Mount Katahdin, Maine and speaks of the trials and the pleasures of the journey as well as the people he met along the way.
